Hi — I truly am so honored that you are taking a second to read this. I want to take a moment to tell you a little bit about who I am and introduce you to Darcy Leigh Photo. I have yet to do a formal introduction on here, for many reasons, but if you keep reading I will unpack that too. To be honest I have been a hobby photographer since the age of 12 so there's never been a need for a business introduction — and well, this hobby has grown arms and legs now taking me to new places + connecting me to new faces. It really is a ministry to me and a passion God has embedded deep into my heart for well over a decade. I love the stories we all uniquely carry — I love the way that photographs tie us to those.

Let me tell you a smidge about my story first — I am Georgia born and Texas raised, by a family who has always encouraged me to be creative through photography, writing and whatever I got myself into. My Mom bought a kit photography lens for herself (to capture our lives) that truly started to become my own while I was in middle school — around this time my Grandfather was entering into more serious stages of Alzheimer's (a disease that is nothing but a thief — a thief of memories and so much more). While visiting him on and off in Georgia, I saw the way a picture frame could aid in the surfacing of memories — there was a bridal portrait of my Grandmother sitting on his care facility bedside — he loved his sweet Clara and adored that image — I love how it could teleport him on dark days.

My journey with photography had already begun "for fun" until it was met by that season in my early teenage years, then it was coupled with deep purpose. Imagery based storytelling has always been tucked under my arm, leaving with me for college in 2019 to Texas A&M then off to document a season of girls ministry in Tennessee in 2021, followed by 2022 leading me into an era of digital ministry + writing landing me in Louisiana, sticking with me as well through a decision to finish college by November 2024 (I started at TAMU and left to go into student ministry in Spring 2021). Early 2024 I met my now husband through my last leg of college in Louisiana and we tied the knot September 20, 2025 near where we live — wedding planning came easy to me, being that a door that opened for me while finishing school was wedding coordination and planning for a venue in NE Louisiana, led by the sweetest people.

Early 2025 I moved to NWA, took a job to be here, got proposed to, worked that job until it led me to another door back into student ministry (a one year role) — said a faith filled yes and as that season was tailing an end, it became so clear to me that God was making a way through all the photography opportunities that this last year held while simultaneously getting to pour into the lives of teenagers. I have had really sweet friends and family members encourage me to pursue photography beyond a hobby or sporadic side gigs that would often flow in.

More recently I had a really low period of time where I was shattered because I felt like at 25 years old aren't I supposed to have it all together? Be in a trackable career? Buying a house? Have some sort of consistency instead of feeling like I am starting over all the time? Until I took a look back at the thread that unraveled from when I was a little girl… I have finally stumbled into an open door of a closeted dream to be a photographer who documents the most mundane, beautiful, wild stories. This is not starting over, this is getting to do something I love… for work. What an honor and a blessing. As a serial entrepreneur, I feel like it is necessary to inform you that I am not JUST a photographer (shocker.. I know), but in the same way that you are not JUST a ___ (fill in the blank). It is the many things that make us. In addition I am a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, an author, a dog mom — to name a short few.

The name of my business comes from, well, my name, prior to changing my name to only hold my maiden name and new married name. Darcy Leigh honors the brave and bold versions of me, it honors the full name my Dad calls me, and I didn't want my full name to disappear forever.

It is with great joy that I officially launch to you Darcy Leigh Photo. Capturing joy. Capturing you. Creating photos that take you right back. Memories you will admire now & forever. Serving AR, TX & the big-beautiful world we live in.
